Western World has been providing commercial brokers with non-admitted insurance solutions for over a half century. Its experience in the contract bind property, casualty and garage segments, combined with the capabilities of Lexington Insurance, enhances AIG's ability to provide non-admitted solutions from Main Street to Wall Street.

How you will create an impact

This position, reporting up through the head of Garage, will have responsibility for helping the team update the product, and handle a territory of garage agents.

• Assist the Garage team in updating the product, including input on forms, guidelines, rates, and distribution strategy.
• Independently select, monitor, and price new and renewal business for our newly formed Garage product, according to Company guidelines per Underwriter's level of authority as outlined in individual "Authority Letter".
• Market our products and services and travel accompanied to assigned agents as required.
• Communicate with agents regarding rating, underwriting and policy issuance issues.
• Assist in the training of support staff within the team as well as within the Department.
• Assist, implement, or coordinate special projects and timetables such as revised forms, new coverages/classes, research, and Underwriting Guide revisions.
• Assist in planning, coordinating, and implementing in-house education training or other company functions.
• Represent the company in a professional manner at industry functions, conventions, and corporate events.

What you'll need to succeed

• An Insurance professional with a minimum 5+ years' experience in Garage business underwriting.
• The candidate must have the ability to underwrite risks across the spectrum of contract bind Garage business while helping to set direction for your team and maintaining a balanced portfolio.
• A strong understanding of current market conditions, ability to quickly make decisions and turn around quotes and manage multiple prospects at one time are essential.
• The candidate must have strong agent relationships in the Garage contract bind market.
• Must be able to work with leadership and peers in order to continue to build a nationally renowned team and culture for Western World and Lexington.
