About the role
As a Strategy & Transformation Consultant - Insurance, you will make an impact by leading critical workstreams across end-to-end transformation programmes for insurance clients. You will operate at the intersection of business, technology, and delivery-helping translate strategic objectives into practical, executable outcomes.
You will be a valued member of our Consulting team and work collaboratively with clients, senior stakeholders, and cross-functional Cognizant teams to deliver measurable business value.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the design and delivery of technology strategy and transformation initiatives across the insurance value chain (policy, claims, underwriting, and distribution)
- Translate client strategy into structured roadmaps, operating models, and target-state architectures
- Drive workstream delivery within complex transformation programmes, ensuring quality, timelines, and client outcomes are met
- Engage and influence senior stakeholders through workshops, governance forums, and advisory discussions
- Identify and shape opportunities across digital, data, cloud, automation, and AI-led transformation

What you must have to be considered:
- Proven experience delivering technology strategy or transformation programmes within the insurance sector (General, Life, or Specialty)
- Strong understanding of the insurance value chain, including policy, claims, underwriting, and distribution
- Experience working with core insurance platforms (e.g. Guidewire, Duck Creek, or OIPA)
- Ability to lead workstreams, manage stakeholders, and translate strategy into execution
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and client engagement skills
- Experience defining target-state architectures, operating models, and transformation roadmaps
- Exposure to cloud strategy, SaaS adoption, and ecosystem integration
- Knowledge of data, analytics, and AI/GenAI applications within the insurance domain
- Experience contributing to proposals, RFPs, or thought leadership initiatives
- Advanced degree (e.g. MBA) or equivalent experience
