Senior Staff Accountant

Summary:

The Senior Staff Accountant assists in the day-to-day operations of the accounting department. This role reports to the Accounting Manager.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for managing various entities in QuickBooks
2. Research and provide recommendations on new software solutions to support business needs
3. Assist with preparation and review of W-2's, W-3's and annual reconciliations
4. Assist with the preparation and review of general ledger account reconciliations
5. Provide support for multiple external audits, which include financial, ESOP, 401k and insurance
6. Streamline OCIP/CCIP reporting and policy management
7. Help support overall team development including developing SOP's within the department
8. Adheres to the company's safety policies to create a safe work environment
9. Other duties as assigned

This position is available in either Mansfield or Columbus, and occasional travel between these offices may be required.

Senior Staff Accountant

Desired Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in related field, or five years of equivalent work experience
2. Minimum of five years of accounting experience
3. Construction accounting experience preferred
4. Experience using a PC (Microsoft Suite, Adobe, Vista by Viewpoint a plus)
5. Must be detail oriented
6. Excellent communication skills
7. Ability to work in a team environment
8. Good time management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines
