High growth organisation which has had huge success growing through M&A, is looking for an Assistant Accountant to join them on a 9 month interim basis with the potential to go permanent. Based in Central London, they have a policy of 4 days in the office and 1 from home. The desired start date for this role is 11th May. The Role: * Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports * Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers * Support month-end and year-end closing processes * Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts * Process invoices, payments, and expense claims * Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities * Support audits and liaise with external auditors when required * Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies * Provide general administrative support to the finance team Skills and Experience: * 1-2 years experience in a similar role * Studying towards or willingness to study a professional accounting qualification (e.g. AAT, ACCA, CIMA) * Strong numerical and analytical skills * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software * Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills * Good communication and interpersonal abilities * Ability to work independently and as part of a team
