Accounting Analyst
Scottsdale, AZ - Onsite
Position Summary
The Accounting Analyst will join a dynamic finance team and play a crucial role in supporting the organization's financial operations. In this position, the analyst will leverage strong analytical skills to interpret complex data, streamline processes, and contribute to the accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting. Their expertise will be vital in ensuring compliance and providing valuable insights that drive strategic decision-making.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing journal entries, bank reconciliations, and commission calculations.
- Perform detailed financial, variance, and trend analyses to support decision-making and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities, providing insights to enhance financial planning and resource allocation.
- Develop, implement, and maintain accounting systems and recordkeeping processes, ensuring efficiency and adherence to best practices.
- Coordinate and assist with annual audits and due diligence processes, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
- Prepare and present financial and analytical reports for account management and executive leadership.
- Review and recommend improvements to accounting procedures, internal controls, and reporting processes.
- Ensure compliance with tax, reporting, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with management and cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies and maintain accurate financial data.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have...
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, orother related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in Accounting, Finance or other related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to interpret and analyze complex financial data
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Experience with financial reporting and forecasting
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
- Familiarity with data visualization tools is a plus
